About us
The independent hotel in Leeds
We’ve been welcoming guests since 1937. Head through our art deco doors and you’ll be following in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela, Princess Grace of Monaco, Cary Grant and Laurel and Hardy.
The hotel
The Front Door to Leeds
Situated in the beating heart of Leeds, guests choose The Queens Hotel for our independent spirit, elegant Art Deco design, genuine Yorkshire hospitality and connectivity to the city – complete with our own private entrance to Leeds Train Station.
History & heritage
Part of the Leeds story since 1937
Originally built as a flagship hotel for Leeds railway station, The Queens has history and heritage around every corner – from the original Art Deco features to the fossils in our iconic white Portland stone façade.
Transformation
Proud of our past. Part of what’s next.
A £16 million refurbishment allowed us to give our rooms a contemporary makeover – and add 17 new ones. Fear not, we’ve still retained our elegant Art Deco features, like the stunning original windows and lifts.
People
Genuine Yorkshire hospitality
At the heart of The Queens are our people, whose warmth, character and genuine hospitality bring every stay to life. From familiar faces and local recommendations to conversations that linger, they make every stay feel truly personal.
